America declined to take part in the conference planned at The Hague to discuss the Russian problem.

A resolution moved in the House of Lords by Earl Beauchamp calling for the repeal of the Safeguarding of Industries Act was defeated by 36 votes to 34 votes.

The Dail Eireann Peace Committee met and was set to publish its conclusions, with Irish Republican leader Michael Collins saying that if no agreement was made there would be no further attempts to reach a resolution.
