The Dail Eireann Peace Committee met again after the first attempt failed to reach agreement. The media reported that the negotiations lasted for over two hours and although little progress was made, the discussions were amicable.

A curfew was declared by the Northern Government in parts of Belfast following a series of disturbances, including the murder of Robert Beattie, a well-known Orangeman.
