The Russian response to the Genoa Conference was published and the media reported that the British Government felt that Russia showed a desire for peace, so further negotiations could continue.

King George V toured numerous battlefields in Belgium, including Ypres, on his tour to the country.

Although the previous talks had failed to reach agreement, it was decided that the Dail Eireann peace committee would meet again to try and find a resolution.
