The Russian response to the Genoa Conference had been expected, but it was reported that it was to be delayed by one day to ensure amendments could be made to ensure that it was accepted.

The Dail Eireann Peace Committee announced in Dublin that they were unable to reach agreement, noting that any continuation of the truce would need to be made by the two opposing military sides as fear of a civil war increased.

Sir Robert Horne, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, said that he was looking to make “every possible economy” in the Government’s expenditure.
