The British Government rejected any postponement of the Genoa Conference, saying that it was still expected to start on 8 March 1922.

Walther Rathenau was appointed as the Foreign Minister of Germany.

The Reichsbank confirmed that it would place some of their gold reserves in the vaults of the Bank of England for the purpose of gaining temporary financial credits.
