Éamon de Valera offered to resign as the President of the Republic saying that “I am sick and tired of politics and no matter what happens, I want to go back to private life”.

David Lloyd George, the Prime Minister, spoke at the Supreme Council in Cannes saying that Britain should respect and show restraint to the Germans with regards to war reparations. It was also agreed to hold a European conference to be held in Genoa in March 1922.
