The Dáil Éireann continued its discussions on the Anglo-Irish Treaty in an attempt to get unity on whether the Parliament should support the proposals. Éamon de Valera said that agreement could be made amongst the different nationalist viewpoints if all sides backed the Treaty and then those individuals who wanted to create an Irish Republic could do so later on if they wanted to.

The Cannes Conference was preparing to open in France where the matter of war reparations would be discussed in an attempt to reach a final settlement, along with an international peace pact and agreement with Russia.
