The military in Northern Ireland confirmed that a woman had been shot in the town of Dungannon when a soldier’s rifle accidentally fired.

Alex Smith, the son of the Rhodesian Prime Minister Ian Smith, was arrested for being in the possession of cannabis. He had made an application to secure a British passport stating that he disagreed with his father’s politics, but the application was refused.
