At a meeting in Belfast, Sir James Craig was elected leader of the Ulster Unionist Party, succeeding Sir Edward Carson. This meant that Craig would become the first Prime Minister in Northern Ireland soon after, a role that he was to hold until his death in 1940.

The Allies questioned the German budget which was presented, with a suggestion that the country had falsified its finances in a bid to minimise the war reparations that were being demanded.
