Andrew Bonar Law, Winston Churchill, Sir Robert Horne and Thomas James Macnamara met in 10 Downing Street to establish a new committee to look at the growing problem of unemployment.

Martial law was extended to Ireland to cover the regions of Clare and Waterford.

James Walsh, the Sinn Fein MP for Cork City was arrested in the city and taken to the local court on the charge of taking part in an illegal Government.
