Eric Geddes, the first Minister for Transport, denied that the Government was planning to close down the department.
Talks between the Poles and Russians continued in Riga, with the League of Nations supporting a resolution to bring an end to the conflict.
Thomas Macnamara, the Minister for Labour, encouraged employers to recruit more former soldiers, with over 20,000 still out of work.
