Twitter has confirmed that it has permanently removed Katie Hopkins from their platform, after what they said were numerous breaches of their terms and conditions. Katie Hopkins, who had been temporarily banned earlier in the year, had over one million followers on Twitter.
Twitter did not confirm which Tweets breached their terms and conditions, but said in a statement:
“Keeping Twitter safe is a top priority for us – abuse and hateful conduct have no place on our service and we will continue to take action when our rules are broken. In this case, the account has been permanently suspended for violations of our hateful conduct policy”.
The writer Danny Wallace posted on Twitter:
Katie Hopkins being removed from Twitter is only censorship in the way a bouncer asking the loud screaming racist in the corner to leave the bar is censorship.

The presenter Limmy posted:
That’s Katie Hopkins finished.
A million followers, gone. Without that, it’s game over, and she’ll know it.
Her career was being controversial. They’d get her on things cos she was controversial, and cos she had 1M followers.
Without that, no career.
