David Cameron Promises that All Tory MPs will Have a Seat to Contest in 2020


The Daily Telegraph has reported that David Cameron, the Prime Minister, is set to ensure that every Conservative MP has a constituency to fight at the 2020 General Election.

There are boundary changes due during this Parliament which are expected to slightly favour the Conservative Party, but which will see the number of MPs fall from 650 to 600.

The Telegraph reported that a Downing Street spokesman said that “no colleague will be left behind”. The initial Boundary Commission reports are due in 2016 and legislation to confirm their report is expected in 2018.
