Foreign Office Issues Statement on Grand Princess Cruise Ship

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has issued a statement on the current situation with the Grand Princess Cruise Ship. It is thought that two customers caught the Coronavirus during a cruise to Mexico and it was feared that a large number of the current 2,422 customers and 1,111 crew members may also be at risk.

A spokesperson for the FCO said:

“We continue to work closely with the US authorities to repatriate British nationals on board the Grand Princess.

The US are currently planning for a flight to leave tomorrow evening, returning to the UK on Wednesday afternoon. We remain in contact with all British nationals on board and will continue to offer support.”
