Former MP Guilty of Fraud to Stand Again for Conservatives

Chris Davies, the former Conservative MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, has been re-selected as the party’s candidate in the by-election which was caused by a successful petition to unseat him. Davies, who pleaded guilty to expenses fraud, was unseated when 19% of the constituency voted to oust him.

The date of the by-election has yet to be announced, but other candidates are expected to be Jane Dodds for the Liberal Democrats and Tom Davies for the Labour Party.
