Jeremy Corbyn, the Leader of the Opposition, has instructed lawyers to take action against Ben Bradley, the Conservative MP for Mansfield. Bradley had posted an allegation against Corbyn on Twitter, but deleted the Tweet yesterday after the Labour leader denied the allegations.
The legal letter sent by Corbyn’s legal representative said that the MP should apologise for the Tweet and added:
“You should agree to pay a sum of money direct to a charity of our client’s choice, in lieu of damages payable to our client for the injury you have caused to his reputation”.
Bradley is yet to comment on the legal action.
