Theresa May Completes Reshuffle Following Departure of Priti Patel

Theresa May, the Prime Minister, has completed a minor reshuffle following the resignation of Priti Patel, the International Development Secretary. Patel resigned after holding meetings which weren’t conducted with the knowledge of the Foreign Office.

Penny Mordaunt replaces Patel as the Secretary of State for International Development, with Sarah Newton replacing Mordaunt as the Minister of State at the Department for Work and Pensions. Victoria Atkins becomes the new Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Home Office.
