David Cameron Confirms that he will Resign as Prime Minister

David Cameron, the Prime Minister, has confirmed that he is to resign from office this year and has notified HM Queen Elizabeth II. He said from the steps of Downing Street that he wouldn’t set a timetable but expected there to be a new leader by the time of the Conservative Party Conference.
